Legislative Decree 15/02/2018 No. 26 implemented Directive 2014/68/EU of the European Parliament and Council, dated 15/05/2014 with the harmonization of Member States to the making available on the market of pressure equipment.

In the area of pressure equipment, in order to carry the CE Marking, equipment and assemblies must now undergo a verification procedure for compliance with the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED) based on different specifications depending on the pressure risk, by a Notified Body.

The PED Directive requires CE Marking for placing such equipment on the European Community market.
