Construction sites in Title IV

A construction site is called any place where construction or civil engineering work is carried out.

Title IV contains measures to protect the health and safety of workers at temporary or mobile construction sites. Subject construction or civil engineering works are as follows:

  • construction work,
  • maintenance,
  • repair,
  • demolition,
  • conservation,
  • remediation;
  • renovation or equipment,
  • transformation,
  • renovation or dismantling;
  • Works involving fixed, permanent, or temporary structures made of masonry, reinforced concrete, metal, wood, or other materials, including the structural components of power lines and electrical systems.
  • The road, railway, hydraulic, maritime, hydroelectric works;
  • The reclamation, forestry and earthworks;
  • excavations and the erection and disassembly of prefabricated elements used in construction or civil engineering work.
